iacula writes The End of Ages, an epic fantasy cycle. The site has two jobs that pull in different directions: to be the author’s front door (the books, the news, where to read) and to hold entries written from inside the world itself.
The answer is to keep the two apart in the source and together on the page. The Chronicler’s entries are in-world histories, written in their own voice; the book pages are the author’s. Readers see one site.
The design is dark by default, with a light mode, a generous reading measure and nothing that interrupts reading: no pop-ups, no floating bars, no tracking.
